Moore: James Charles

A resident of Maidstone, James Moore passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Windsor Regional Hospital - Metropolitan Campus at the age of 91. He was born in Amherstburg, Ontario and was the son of the late Henry and Josephine Moore. Loving husband of the late Stella Moore (1996). Dear father of Barbara Farough (Kurt), Doug Lypps (Theresa) and Don Lypps (Kathy). Proud grandfather to Christina, Melanie, Ricky, Tyler, Sandra, Susan, Jennifer and Jessica, great-grandfather to 15 and 1 great-great granddaughter. Predeceased by his brothers Harry, Alfred "Bill" and Albert; as well his sisters Annie, Mary, Margaret and Amelia. Chuck will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Jim was a veteran of World War 2 serving with the Highland Light Infantry. He was also a member of the 4th degree Dean Wagner Assembly for many years. Family and friends will be received at Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Ave. E., Essex (519 776-4233) on Friday, December 9, 2016, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Maidstone from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Maidstone. Memorial donations to COPD Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
