95 years, passed away on Wednesday April 21,2021 at Franklin Gardens, Leamington. Beloved wife, of the late Dale Reeb(2002). Beloved mother of Gwen Groves (Robin), Tobermory; Edward Reeb (Connie), Essex; Stephen Reeb (Susan), Manitowaning; and Becky Middlebrook (Paul) Owen Sound. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Brett, Holly (Lee), Marty (Andrea), Mark (Karlene), Lyndsay (Stuart), Jennifer (Doug), Stephanie (Eric), Jessica (Brian), Julie (Neema), 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 great grandchildren, her parents James and Helen Homeniuk and brother Edward Homeniuk (Lee).  Stella will also be sadly missed by several cousins in the Hamilton/Brantford area. She was born in Windsor and as young woman worked as a secretary at the Canada steamship lines.  Stella met Dale at a Junior Farmers dance and after marrying , they raised their four children on the family farm north of Essex. She was an expert seamstress, avid gardener and talented-cook.  Her cabbage rolls were legendary. She revelled being out in the great outdoors and had a keen interest in nature.  Stella enjoyed traveling and she and Dale spent many winters in Florida, decades of vacation time at the family camp in Temagami and the cottage on her beloved Manitoulan Island. Special thanks to the kind staff at the Franklin Gardens of Leamington for the wonderful care shown to Stella. Friends are invited to pay their respects to Stella by appointment only, on Friday afternoon, April 23, 2021 by contacting the funeral home at 519-776-4233. Only those with an appointment will be allowed in, and everyone MUST wear a mask. A Private Family Funeral Service to celebrate Stella's life will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Ave. E., Essex (519-776-4233) followed by interment in Woodslee United Church Cemetery. Livestream of the funeral service will be available at 1:00 pm on Stella's profile at www.reidfuneralhome.ca. If desired, the family would appreciate living plants for floral tributes, as per Stella's wishes. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Essex Food Bank or Woodslee United Church.
